About hair loss shampoo
What is DHT blocking shampoo?
What’s a DHT blocker?
DHT is a hormone that affects the hair follicles, causing them to shrink and disrupting the hair growth cycle. A build up of DHT is usually the cause of male pattern baldness, the most common form of hair loss in men.
DHT blockers work to stop the action of DHT, helping the hair follicles return to their usual growth cycle. The most well-known DHT blocker is finasteride. Finasteride the active ingredient in the prescription-only, effective hair loss treatment Finasteride (or it’s branded version Propecia). Another DHT blocker is saw palmetto, a natural extract.
How does this shampoo work?
Saw palmetto (one of the ingredients in this shampoo) is thought to work by blocking DHT, which might help your hair follicles get back to a usual hair growth cycle.
The other ingredients in the shampoo (like iron and vitamin B3) also support your body’s health.
Using DHT blocking shampoo
You can use this shampoo daily, as part of your usual hair washing routine. Lather the shampoo into your hair and leave it for 60-90 seconds before washing it out.
