My ED treatment didn't work for me the first time. Should I keep trying?

Yes. You should try erectile dysfunction medicines up to eight times before deciding if they are effective or not.

If a specific erectile dysfunction medicine doesn’t seem to be working for you, you may need to try it up to eight times before thinking about other options. The medicines can be affected by food, alcohol, and your state of arousal. So even if the medicine doesn’t work the first few times, it could still be your most appropriate treatment.

This doesn’t mean you should take eight at once. You shouldn’t take more than one tablet (of Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, or Generic sildenafil) within a 24 hour period. But if you take an erectile dysfunction medicine on eight separate occasions and it still doesn’t work, please get in touch with us through your Patient Record. We can prescribe you a different treatment or higher dose, if medically appropriate.
