How our COVID-19 home test kit service works

  1. Request your test kit online and receive it by post.

  2. Take the test using the instructions provided. Lateral flow test users will get their result within 15 minutes. If you’re taking a PCR or antibody test, package up your sample and send it back to the lab.

  3. View or download your PCR or antibody results from your Patient Record. We’ll let you know as soon as they are ready by email or text.

    PCR and antibody results are available an estimated three working days from the lab receiving your sample. This timeline is an estimate and it could take longer.

About the Flowflex COVID-19 lateral flow test

  • 99.8% accurate at home lateral flow test

    The Flowflex nasal swab test is simple to use and will have everything you need to collect your sample. 

    The nasal swab only needs to be inserted 2.5cms into the nostril, unlike other lateral flow rapid tests on the market. Once you have completed the sample taking you will get your test result within 15 minutes. 

    The Flowflex test has been UK government approved, it's a CE marked lateral flow test and has:

    • 99.5% specificity
    • 97.1% sensitivity
    • 98.8% accuracy

    Please be aware that these are for home use only and there is no option to register them via gov.uk / NHS.

    With each test you’ll get: 

    • 1 x test cassettes 
    • 1 x extraction buffer tubes 
    • 1 x disposable swabs 
    • 1 x waste bags 
    • 1 x packaging insert 

  • Who is the Flowflex lateral flow test suitable for?

    This lateral flow tests is suitable for adults aged 18 and over. 

  • How to use the test

    1. Check the contents of your test kit before you start. 
    2. Then please read the kit information booklet that is included within the test kit box fully before beginning the testing process. 

  • Warnings and cautions for the lateral flow test

    • Avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes before doing the test to reduce the risk of spoiling the test 
    • Do not use the sample collection kit if any components are missing or damaged 
    • Watch the instruction video below before performing your test. Failure to follow directions may result in inaccurate results 
    • Store your test kit at room temperature between 2-30°C. Do not store it in a fridge and keep out of direct sunlight 
    • Do not use the test after the expiration date 
    • All used tests should be discarded in a closed bag and in accordance with local regulations 
    • If the extraction buffer accidentally contacts your skin or eyes, wash it with large amounts of water and contact your doctor if necessary 
    • Keep out of the sight and reach of children
