Our supplier Lilly has announced that, from 1st September, the price of Mounjaro in the UK will be increased for all providers.
As a result, we are currently only accepting Mounjaro orders from existing patients, with stock reserved for them for as long as it lasts. Clinical reviews may take slightly longer due to increased demand.
Other weight loss treatment options should not be affected by the above changes.
Why is the price of Mounjaro increasing?
Our supplier Lilly is raising the UK price for all providers from Monday, September 1st.
Will this affect all providers?
Yes – this change will affect every UK supplier of Mounjaro.
What will your new prices be, and when will they start?
We do not yet know what our new selling prices will be, or from what date they’ll increase. We will share this openly and clearly as soon as we know.
You will always have advance notice before any changes affect your programme.
Will this affect pre-existing patients?
Yes, all patients on Mounjaro will be affected by this change.
However, our remaining lower-priced stock is reserved for existing patients so we can support them for as long as it lasts.
This way, we hope to keep supplying at the lower selling prices for longer.
What if my Mounjaro dose is out of stock?
If your current dose of Mounjaro is out of stock you have the following options:
- Move down to a lower dosage - This may result in changes to appetite. Please talk to your healthcare provider before doing this.
- Miss a dose - Please talk to a healthcare provider before doing this.
- Consider alternative weight loss treatments - You may consider switching over to a treatment like Wegovy. This is possible, but you will need to talk to your healthcare provider before you do this. Be aware that you will be initiated on the most appropriate dose of Wegovy, which might be the lowest dose (0.25mg). Find out more about how to switch from Mounjaro to Wegovy below.
Please contact us before your dose runs out so that we can find the most suitable treatment option for you.
Are you still accepting new Mounjaro patients following the price increase?
No, we are not currently taking new orders for Mounjaro. New patients may face revised pricing or delays in starting treatment.
To protect supply and keep costs lower for longer, we are prioritising our existing Mounjaro patients only.
The changes to Mounjaro do not affect the availability of our other weight loss treatments. Please visit our hub page for more information.
Can I buy extra pens before the prices go up?
For now, we can only allow one re-order per patient.
If stock increases, we’ll reach out to let you know so you can place another order. This approach helps ensure every existing patient has fair access and their treatment remains safe and effective.
Can I change my weight loss treatment from Mounjaro to Wegovy?
It is possible to switch your weight loss treatment from Mounjaro to Wegovy. However, bear in mind that:
- You will need to consult your healthcare provider before you make any changes
- You would begin any new treatment from the most appropriate dose
How do I change my weight loss treatment from Mounjaro to Wegovy?
If you would like to change your weight loss treatment, you will need to do the following:
