Taking ED Combo Pack
- Sildenafil: one tablet 1hr before sex – lasts up to 4 hours.
- Cialis: one tablet at least 30mins before sex - lasts up to 36 hours
- Spedra: one tablet 15-30mins before sex – lasts up to 4 hours.
Never take more than one tablet within 24 hours. Avoid taking any of the treatments with more than 1 or 2 units of alcohol as this can limit its effectiveness. Grapefruit juice should be avoided for 24 hours prior to taking Spedra. Full usage instructions will be provided for each treatment.
How does the Combo Pack work?
These treatments work by increasing blood flow to the penis. They can improve your erection if you are sexually aroused.
These treatments will not resolve the underlying physical cause of your ED or increase your sexual desire.
Are there any side effects to the Combo Pack?
Side effects are uncommon but can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and an allergic rash. Other side effects include facial flushing, headache, light-heartedness, a stuffy nose, blurred vision, palpitations (racing heartbeat), and indigestion. Please always read the patient leaflets for the treatment you're using.
Is the Combo Pack an effective ED treatment?
These treatments have varying degrees of effectiveness reported following clinical trials. If one does not work for you, a different treatment might have the desired effect.

Strength and dosage of the ED Combo Pack
The treatments in this combo pack are a standard strength or dose. These are the doses that work for the majority of people. Depending on your age, height and weight, the cause and the severity of your ED, a lower or higher dose of these ED treatments may suit you better. Dosage does not affect how quickly or for how long the treatment works.
Your consultation responses will help us prescribe you the most suitable treatment and strength.

Drug interactions with the ED Combo Pack
You will not be suitable for these ED treatments if you are taking nicorandil or nitrates such as GTN spray or isosorbide mononitrate tablets to treat angina.
If you are taking alpha-blockers (such as doxazosin or tamsulosin), our GPs will not be able to prescribe the combo pack as you cannot take these with Cialis. You could try Sildenafil, Spedra or Vardenafil, which are safe to take 6 hours after taking alpha-blockers.
It is important that you let us know which prescription, over-the-counter medicines and recreational drugs you are taking so that we can prescribe ED combo pack safely.
