*Meaningful weight loss means losing enough weight to deliver important health benefits and is defined in clinical studies as losing at least 5% of your starting body weight.

*Data sourced from different clinical trials. In the OASIS 4 clinical trial, Wegovy tablets were associated with 16.6% average weight loss over 64 weeks, when coupled with a balanced diet and physical activity. In the STEP UP trial 3b, Wegovy 7.2mg injections were associated with 20.7% average weight loss over 72 weeks, when coupled with a balanced diet and physical activity. In the SURMOUNT trial, Mounjaro injections were associated with 25.3% average weight loss over 72 weeks, when coupled with a balanced diet and physical activity.

Clinical trial results are provided for context only. They are not from a head-to-head trial and should not be used to directly compare treatments. Trial design, patient groups, doses and durations differed.
Individual results vary, and treatment is not guaranteed. Your clinician will discuss which treatment options may be suitable for you.

Suitability, side effects and risks will be assessed by a clinician. Chart is for illustrative summary only. In clinical trials, average weight loss varied by treatment, dose, study design and duration. Individual results vary.

Weight loss FAQs

  • Important information about our weight loss clinic

During your online consultation for weight loss injections, you’ll need to upload a video showing your weight and ID. We’ll be able to confirm your identity and BMI, so we can deliver your treatment to your chosen address.

Before we can prescribe weight loss injections for you:

    • We'll need to check your ID and weight
    • We check your ID and weight on a video you film for us
    • You need to ensure that your name on your ID matches the name on your account, otherwise your video may not be accepted

    You'll need:

    • A mobile phone with a front and rear camera
    • A steady internet connection via 3G, 4G, 5G or WiFi
    • Bathroom scales
    • A full-length mirror or someone who can film you
    • A valid ID - driving license, passport or national identity card
  • Can treatment be approved for more than one month in advance?

New patients to Mounjaro or Wegovy can request one pen of the prescribed dose following their prescription.

Existing patients on weight loss treatment can choose between requesting one or two pens (of the same dose) from a single consultation.

  • Can I contact a clinician before I place an order?

Yes. If you have questions about treatment, you can message our clinicians before placing an order via your account. For messages received before 4pm, you will usually receive a response the same day.

  • Who can use the first consultation offer?

The offer applies to new patients only and is available on their first Weight Loss consultation.

  • Are weight loss injections safe?

If taken correctly and consistently (and please consult our guide for help if you’re unsure), weight loss injections should be safe. However, you may experience side effects as you would do with any treatment, including the risk of serious side effects like gallstones and pancreatitis. For more information on these, please visit our side effects summaries for Wegovy and Mounjaro.

  • How do I check my BMI?

BMI stands for ‘Body Mass Index’. It is calculated by dividing a person’s weight (kg) by their height (metres squared).

Higher BMI scores can be used to determine the chances of you developing long-term conditions such as heart disease. However, people from Asian, Black African, African-Caribbean or Middle Eastern ethnic backgrounds may see these conditions develop from a lower BMI, so this should be factored in when BMI is calculated.

BMI should not be used to diagnose symptoms as there are limits to using it. For example not all weight is fat, which disadvantages people with a muscular build.

Medically speaking, you are 'overweight' if you have a BMI of more than 25. So, you might be advised by your GP to make lifestyle changes to try and lose weight.

“While there are limitations to measuring BMI, measuring it can be a first step to determining your risk for any further weight-related diseases.” - Dr Bhavini Shah

You can use this NHS tool to calculate your BMI.

  • Can you use weight loss injections with high blood pressure?

You can use weight loss injections if you have high blood pressure. In fact, some clinical trials have shown that using weight loss like Mounjaro can result in overall lower blood pressure. Let us know if you have any issues with blood pressure when you take your initial consultation and we will determine if you’re suitable for a treatment like Mounjaro or Wegovy.

  • What should you eat when using weight loss treatments?

It is important to stick to a calorie-controlled diet when using weight loss treatments for the best possible results. Reduce sugars and fats and focus on lean proteins, whole grains and fruit & vegetables.

  • What is the best solution for weight loss?

There is no ‘best solution’ for weight loss – what works for one patient might not work for another. Generally, making healthy lifestyle choices (like reducing portion sizes and doing more exercise) will help weight loss regardless of any other treatments you might be using.

To get the best results while on a weight loss injection or pill, it’s recommended that you follow a calorie-controlled diet and engage in regular exercise.

  • Can you buy weight loss pills over the counter?

You cannot buy weight loss pills like Orlistat and Xenical over the counter: they are only available with a prescription. The is an over-the-counter equivalent to these pills, (alli), though this is at a lower strength.

  • How far in advance should you order weight loss injections?

We don’t recommend stocking up on weight loss treatments, as you may need to adjust doses if you experience side effects or taper down doses as you reach your goal weight.

We recommend ordering after you have taken the fourth and final dose of your current pen. This is unless this order clashes with an upcoming bank holiday. If that’s the case, please plan accordingly.
