Malaria pill service - aim of the service
This service aims to make it as convenient as possible for you to obtain the malaria pills recommended for your area of travel. Malarone, doxycycline and Lariam are all available. You can opt to have your malaria pills sent to you in the post using Royal Mail Special Delivery or you can collect your malaria pills from one of over 1500 Lloydspharmacy stores throughout the UK.
We will donate £1 to Oxfam for every pack of anti-malarials sold between 3/05/10 and 31/12/10 Oxfam is a registered charity in England and Wales (202918) and Scotland (SC039042).
How the service works
Step 1 – visit the fitfortravel website to assess your need for malaria pills
a. Visit the fitfortravel website (www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk) to see whether malaria pills are recommended for where you are travelling.b. On the 'fitfortravel' website, select the countries you are visiting from the 'Destinations' box on the bottom left of the homepage. Pay particular attention to which malaria pills are recommended for where you are going. The recommended malaria pills are detailed towards the bottom of the page on each country.
c. Click on the malaria map to see a more detailed view of where in a particular country malaria pills are recommended. Areas shown in red on a country's malaria map indicate areas where malaria pills are usually advised.

| What are the side-effects? |
Uncommon but can cause stomach pain, headache, nausea, diarrhoea, coughing or mouth ulcers. These side-effects
are usually mild. Some people find that they experience vivid dreams when taking this malaria pill |

Step 3 – order preferred malaria pills below
Select the appropriate quantity of your preferred malaria pill from the list below. Then complete a short online questionnaire and make payment using a valid debit or credit card.
