Chlamydia test - is this test accurate?

This chlamydia test is an accurate and convenient way to be tested for genital chlamydia in the comfort of your own home. The chlamydia test will not detect chlamydia infections in the throat or rectum. The test does not look for any infections other than chlamydia.

Chlamydia test - how does the service work?

Register online, make payment using a debit or credit card and wait for the discreet chlamydia test pack to arrive. The pack does not say anything on the outside about what is inside or where it came from. When the pack arrives, urinate into the bottle and send it off to our laboratory in the packaging provided.

Chlamydia test - how do I get my result?

When your chlamydia test result is ready and if you said you were happy to receive SMS (text messages) and/or emails, we will send you a message telling you to log back into this website to collect your chlamydia test result.

Chlamydia test - what if I test positive and need treatment?

If you test positive with this chlamydia test our doctors wil treat you by post at no extra charge so long as it is appropriate to do so. If you tested positive we will ask you to complete a short online questionnaire that helps our doctors decide if it is safe to send you chlamydia treatment by post. You will normally receive your chlamydia treatment within 3-5 working days.

Order before 5pm Monday to Friday and we will post your chlamydia test pack in that day's first class post.

Chlamydia test results are normally ready within two to three working days of your urine sample arriving at the laboratory.

This service is totally confidential. We are not allowed to inform your GP of the result unless you ask us to.

The chlamydia test is unlikely to pick up signs of chlamydia infection if you caught chlamydia within the last two weeks.

Chlamydia test - what if I already know that I have chlamydia?

If you already know that you have chlamydia then you can request chlamydia treatment without having to use our chlamydia testing service. You can also use our chlamydia treatment service if a sexual partner has recently tested positive for chlamydia.
